My Story

As a counselor, I believe counseling gives people the ability to live a life full of wellness. I consider it an honor and privilege to enter into your story with you. Life can be messy. When we are overwhelmed, it can be helpful to partner with someone to walk along with you and provide a safe space to explore the thoughts and feelings that get us stuck. 

Counseling comes as my second career. I hold a Master’s of Education from Colorado State University, and I  began my career as a secondary educator working on the Eastern Slope for seven years before moving home to teach for our local district. After five years, I realized that our community needed more support for teens and young adults with mental health concerns. I wanted to provide a safe place for teens to learn about themselves and process through those overwhelming experiences adolescence often brings. I graduated from Colorado Christian University with a Master’s of Counseling in 2018. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to provide counseling services to college students at Colorado Mesa University. Being on an academic campus again was amazing, and I deeply value the experience I gained working with the broader community. I provide individual counseling sessions for adolescents, young adults, and adults. My areas of focus are depression, anxiety, and trauma work. I combine person-centered and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with spiritual interventions to meet your needs, but your goals will direct our therapeutic process.  We can partner together to explore your story and help you achieve your own vision of wellness.
